Obituaries: Velda McBroom Fife

Mrs. Velda McBroom Fife, 83 of Tullos, died Monday, April 7, 1986, at the 
LaSalle Nursing Home in Jena following a long illness.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tullos and a member of Urania 
Chapter 136 of the Eastern Star.

Services were held Wednesday, April 9th, at 2 pm at Tullos First Baptist 
Church with Rev. Coda Salter and Rev. E.D. Dearmon, officiating.

Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery near Olla under the direction of 
Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Survivors include a son, M. W. Fife Jr, of Tullos; four daughters, Mrs 
Juanita Fife Wall of Tullos, Mrs Evelyn Fife Watts of West Monroe, Mrs Yvonne 
Fife Wright of Haughton and Mrs Linda Fife Jergins of Logansport; two 
brothers, Adolph McBroom of Des Allemands, and Rodolph McBroom of Urania; a 
sister, Mrs. Prevos Craighead of West Monroe; 13 grandchildren, and 8 
great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Roy Lansdale, David Lansdale, Julian King, Shelby loe, red 
Shaver, and Fred Book.
