M. Francis and one of the most highly respected women of this section. Mrs Francis, the fourth daughter of the late Rev. J. J. Arnold, was a native of LaSalle Parish, having been born March 31, 1885. Early in life she united with the Methodist Church and remained a devout member throughout her entire lifetime. Her life was dedicated to the service of others and her passing will be genuinely regretted by a legion of friends. Suviving the deceased are her husband and the following children, Edgar, Eugene, Claude, Herbert, Jewel, Bernice, Lillie, and Yvonne Francis and Mrs Oscar McCartney, of Eden, as well as a score of other relatives. Funeral services were held at Belah on Thursday afternoon, interment following in the cemetery at that place. The funeral arrangements were in charge of Kenner and Stevens, funeral directors and Rev A. S. J. Neill, her pastor, officiated.
