Mrs. Francis was 32 years, nine months, and 1 day old when death came. She died of heart failure at Murrell's Clinic in Alexandria after an illness of three days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Landry Sayer, Pineville, La. She was born Feb 2, 1914 in Avoyelles Parish. May 31, 1931, she was married to C. E. Francis at Archie, La. A member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church, the deceased is survived by her husband, three daughters, Joyce Lee, 13, Hazel Ruth, 8, Madias Mae, infant; two sons, Edgar Ray, 11, and Charlie Richard, 10. Three brothers and one sister, all of Pineville survive. Pallbearers were: W. T. Kilpatrick, Buy Fairbanks, Ike Robertson, Charlie Richardson, Nute Ezell, and Clyde Bradford. Rev. Moreland Doughty conducted funeral services. Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals were in charge of arrangements.
