Headline:  Mrs. Francis Dies at Saturday on Tuesday Morning

Funeral services for Mrs. Isabelle Doherty Francis, 55, were held at the 
Nolly Memorial Methodist Church in Jena on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, 
interment following in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Francis was the wife of 
Chris Francis, who with the following children survive:  Marion, Gordon, 
Elmer, Vernon, and Dorothy Francis and Mrs. M. F. Humphries.

Mrs. Francis passed away at a Shreveport sanitarium on Friday morning after 
an illness of several months.

The deceased was born in Princeton, Arkansas, but had been a resident of 
LaSalle Parish for 29 years.  She was a devoted member of the Good Pine 
Baptist Church and, by her genial personality, made many friends, all of whom 
regret to learn of her passing.

Rev. B. T. Goodwin, pastor of the Jena Baptist Church, officiated at the 
funeral services.
