Flowers Funeral services for Mrs. Phillip A. Flowers, 49, who died May 1 at 1:10 a.m. were held at the Thomas Cemetery at 10 a.m. May 2 with Rev. A. J. Cain of Urania and Rev. Pearson of Trout officiating. Interment took place at the Thomas Cemetery near Trout, under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home, Jena. Mrs. Flowers was the former Dollie Mae Cupples, daughter of Dutch Cupples, and a lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish. She was married to P. A. Flowers at Winnfield in 1908. The following survive: P. A. Flowers, husband; Eugene, Bill and Manuel Flowers, sons; Hazel and Margie Flowers, daughters; Mrs. Claude Flowers all of Trout; Mrs. J. W. Horne of Columbia, Mrs. R. E. Hamilton of Monroe, Mrs. S. W. Sikes of Trout, sisters, and R. E. Cupples of Columbia, brother.
