Funeral services were held Thursday, March 5 at 3 p.m. in the Harrisonburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Walters officiating. Burial was in the Harrisonburg Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors besides the parents include two sisters, Patricia Ann and Brenda Lois, both of Harrisonburg; three brothers, Charles David, Lester Dale and Darrell Glenn, all of Harrisonburg; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Floyd of Trout; maternal grandparents, Mrs. Lillian Nugent of Memphis, Tenn., and Mr. Edwin C. Taylor of Hattiesburg, Miss. Pallbearers were Tony Wilson, Albert Taylor, Marcus Anthony and Danny Floyd.
