J. Falkner, 56, father of Mrs. Earl Honeycutt, of Jena, and employed as bookkeeper at the State Colony and Training School near Pineville, died at the Baptist Hospital Friday night. Rev. A. K. Smith, of Alexandria officiated at the funeral which was held at the Jena Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. The deceased was buried in the Nolly Memorial Cemetery in Jena. The deceased is survived by his wife, of Alexandria, his daughter, Mrs. Earl Honeycutt of Jena, and a son, Roderick Falkner of Alexandria. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. J. J. Montague of Clifton, Tenn., and two brothers, J. B. Falkner and Wayne Falkner of Tennessee.
