B. Hailey at Saline, in Bienville Parish. Mrs. Fisher had been confined to a Shreveport hospital since June 19, where she was treated for a complication of ailments. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon. Mrs. Fisher was born in LaSalle Parish, and after her marriage, moved to Gueydan, where she made her home until about 10 years ago, when she returned to Jena. Mr. Fisher died in 1922. Deceased was a member of the Baptist Church, having joined that denomination early in life. She is survived by one daughter, Ethel and grandson, Leo; two sisters, Mrs. J. N. Gray and Mrs. M. U. Walker, of Jena; and one brother, Dr. Hailey, of Saline. Those from Jena attending the funeral were Mrs. M. U. Walker, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Gray, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Walker, Mr. C. B. Walker, Mr. W. J. Hailey, Miss Lena Walker, Miss Ruth Cagle, Master Leo Dorman. Active pallbearers were J. C. Burson, Hansford Evans, Tom Rogers, A. D. Smith, Sr., Tom Babers, Dee Peyton, Wallace Nelson. Honorary pallbearers were Eugene Rogers, J. O. Evans, H. E. Sudeth, Doss Caskey, L. J. Peyton, W. S. Montgomery, H. E. Enloe, O. W. Lewis. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. W. Singleton, pastor of the Saline Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements were in charge of S. A. Conger, Undertaker, of Arcadia.
