Ford, Sr., 79, of Pineville, died Saturday, December 22, 2001, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pineville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pineville. He was a graduate of Northwestern State University in natchitoches and Stephen F. Austin University. He retired after 33 years from Alexandria Senior High School. Ford was a member of the Loins Club and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Europena Campaign. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville with Dr. Gary Baldwin officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Pineville under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Pineville. Survivors include his wife, Jo Lynn Dowden Ford of Pineville; three sons, Quincy T. Ford, Jr., of Winnfield, Glen David Ford of Bossier City and Brian David Ford of Pineville; two daughters, Kay Lynn Ford of Bossier City and Gail Lynn Ford Tullis of Shreveport; one brother, V. T. Ford of St. Joseph; one sister, Geraline Ford Poole of Olla; and seven grandchildren.
