Services for William L. "Bill" Franks, 62, of Jena were held June 22 at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home with Chaplain E. F. Schoenborn officiating. Mr. Franks, a local farmer, was a veteran of World War II, Korean, and Vietnam conflicts. He died at 2:20 a.m. at England Air Force Base Hospital in Alexandria June 21. Burial was at Alexander Cemetery at Rhinehart under the direction of Kinner & Stevens. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille Gaharan Franks; one daughter, Linda Lee Franks; one son, William G. Franks, both of Jena and one sister, Mrs. Ina Mae Harris of Wagoner, Okla. Pallbearers were Carl Zeagler, Sonny Pentecost, Norman Feavel, L. T. Moseley, Ken Duke, and Wutipong Nelson.
