Mrs Gross had been in failing health for several months, although her death came as a distinct shock to her relatives and friends. Mrs Gross was well known throughout this section and has a host of friends who regret to learn of her passing. She was a devoted member of the Baptist Church located at Good Pine, La. The funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at Good Pine and was conducted by Rev Phares. The body was laid to rest at the Belah Cemetery in charge of Kinner & Stevens, undertakers. She is survived by her husband Mr James Edward Gross, Tall Timber, La., and eight children, Carl of Temple, Texas; Iva, Port Arthur, Texas; Richard, Tall Timber, La; Bertha, Colfax, La; Alice, Harrisonburg, La; Christine, Tall Timber, La; Willie, Camden, Texas; and Maggie also of Tall Timber.
