She was a nursing aide at Pinecrest State School and a lifetime resident of Deville. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 22, at 2 pm in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery Holloway. Survivors are her husband, Leonard Gurganus, one son, Leonard Earl Gurganus, both of Deville; two daughters, Mrs. Audie G. Meyers, Alexandria, and Mrs. Lura G. Todd of Deville; two brothers; Earl Corley of Pollock and George Corley of Deville, four sisters, Mrs. Chedra Swerengin and Mrs. Dottie Mae Owens, both of Pollock, Mrs. Mary Lee McDonald of Bastrop and Mrs. Gertrude Jackson of Jena; her father, Oliver L. Corley of Jena, and eight grandchildren.
