E. Ganey Buried at Chalk Hill Last Sunday P.M. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Jane Ganey, aged 66, wife of R. E. "Uncle Bob" Ganey, of Little Creek, and one of the most beloved women in this section. Interment was in the Chalk Hill Cemetery at Zenoria with Rev. Albritton, officiating. The funeral arrangements were under the direction of Kinner & Stevens, local undertakers. Mrs. Ganey's death came on Saturday morning at 7 o'clock and was attributed to apoplexy. She had been a resident of the Little Creek community her entire lifetime and had made many friends because of her lovable disposition and her willingness to help her friends and neighbors at all times. She was a devout member of the Baptist Church and had lived a Christian life since her admission to the church at Little Creek. Surviving the deceased are her husband and the following sons and daughter: C. L. Ganey, J. F. Ganey, J. E. Ganey, C. P. Ganey, Lidia Cockerham, Idella Ganey, Emma Warwick, all of whom reside in this section and A. J. Ganey of Woodlake, California. She also leaves a score of other relatives whose friends join in mourning her untimely death.
