Services were held at 3:30 p.m., Jan. 1, 1944, for Mrs. W. E. Gentry, 35, of 
Jonesville, La., in the Pine Grove Cemetery near Jena.  Mrs. Gentry died at 5 
a.m., Dec. 31.

Mrs. Gentry was born Sept. 13, 1908, in Jonesville, the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Henry Crooks.  She was a member of this community all her life.

Surviving the deceased besides the husband are her mother, Mrs. Martha 
Samson, one son, Henry, age six, and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Jeter and Mrs. 
Nora Butler.

Hixson Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
