Mrs. Olivia Wright Garrett, 62, succumbed to pneumonia at the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria Wednesday, March 27 at 9:35 a.m. after several weeks illness there. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Jena Baptist Church with Rev. J. H. Smith of Gibsland officiating assisted by Rev. B. T. Goodwin. Interment will be made at the Pollock Cemetery near Pollock under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home, Jena. The deceased was a lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish and a member of the First Baptist Church of Jena. She was married to B. M. Garrett, deceased in 1902. Surviving are one brother, Walter Wright of Jena, and three sisters, Mrs. D. T. Miles of Midway, Mrs. S. A. Clark of Columbia and Mrs. H. Smith of Jena, and a host of other relatives and friends.
