Guinn of Manifest Passes Away Monday Mrs. Florrie D. Quinn (sp, Guinn), age 47 years, one month and 27 days, a lifelong citizen of Manifest community, died at her home on August 22, after an illness of several months duration. Mrs. Guinn was widely known throughout this section of the state, being the daughter of D. L. Doughty and the late Mrs. Doughty, of Manifest. She was a consistent member of the Baptist Church and was a devoted wife and mother. Besides her husband, Mrs. Guinn is survived by the following children: David, Edward, Tommie, and Annie Doughty, all of Manifest. other relatives are her father, D. L. Doughty, Manifest, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. P. C. Girlinghouse, Jena; Mrs. Daisy Little, Manifest; Roddy Doughty, El Paso, Texas; Gilbert Doughty, Los Angeles, Cal.; Rev. Thompson Doughty, Manifest; Charlie Doughty, Manifest; J. M. Doughty, Manifest; and Henry Doughty, Manifest. She also had many other relatives in LaSalle and Catahoula parishes. Funeral services were held at the Manifest Baptist Church at 3 p.m., Tuesday. The services were conducted by Rev. Miley, Baptist minister, of Harrisonburg. Interment was made in Heard Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home. The many friends of the family deeply sympathize with them in their sad bereavement.
