Hailey, whose untimely death occured Friday morning at 4 o'clock from the effects of influenza and pneumonia. Mrs. Hailey, whose former name was Miss Annie Mae Pritchard, daughter of F.T. Pritchard of the Old River community, leaves three children and her husband to mourn her passing. The children are Willie D. Jr., Jarrell and John Walter. Rev. L.D. Posey, pastor of the First Baptist church in Jena, had charge of the funeral services and quite a crowd of friends of the family were present to pay their last respects to the memory of this good woman.
