G. Harris, of Trout, had passed away in Crossett, Arkansas, where she had been taken for an operation for appendicitis. Both Miss Harris' maternal and paternal grandparents reside in Crossett and the decision to take her there for the operation was occasioned by this fact. She first became ill on Friday night and was rushed to the sanitarium at that place, the operation being performed shortly after her arrival there. All that loving care and medical skill could accomplish was done, but she passed away quietly surrounded by members of her immediate family. Funeral services were held at Crossett, interment following in the Crossett Cemetery. Rev Hooter, Methodist Episcopal pastor, of El Dorado, officiated. It was he who performed the wedding ceremony for Mr. and Mrs. Harris and who christened Katherine. Many people from Trout and Good Pine attended the funeral, which was said to have been one of the largest in the history of that city. Representatives from her school were also present and the floral offerings testified to the esteem in which the young lady was held by her class mates and associates
