Hudson Aged Jena Citizen Succumbs Funeral services for Mr. Elmo L. Hudson, age 73, retired farmer, who died after a short illness was held at the First Baptist Church Jena, on January 18 at 10 am with Rev. Finley Tinnin and Rev. Roberts officiating. Interment was made at the Nolley Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Hudson has been a resident of this section for the past 39 years. He was born in Clarks County, Alabama, on September 11, 1868, where he lived until coming to this section during the year 1902, has been a resident of Jena for several years. A member of the Rosefield Baptist Church, Mr. Hudson was married to Miss Rosa Lee Downey of Sweet Water, Alabama, in January 1891. Those left to survive his passing are: Rose Lee Hudson, wife; Q. R. Hudson, son, Jena; Corbett Hudson, son, Winnfield; Mrs. H. R. Whiting, daughter, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. R. B. Taylor, daughter, Jena; Mrs. R. A. Phillips, daughter, Kelly. Funeral services were in charge of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home, with interment in the Nolley Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were: C. H. Davis, T. S. Butler, J. M. Henegan, D. Floyd, W. F. Mackey, W. H. Bishop.
