Holloway Killed in Fall from Tank; Services Held Wed. Thomas Holloway, Jr., 33, of Jena, was instantly killed Monday in Rockport, Texas, when he stepped off the top of a tank, fell approximately 30 feet onto the floor of the tank and suffered a fractured skull. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Jena with Rev. Jerome Owens officiating. Interment took place in the Nolley Memorial Cemetery. Holloway was employed by the Baker Tank Company at the time of his death. Born in Madison Parish, he had been a resident of Jena for 12 years. He is survived by his widow, the former Mary Stone; a son, Charles; his mother, Mrs. T. J. Holloway of Delhi; a brother, J. W. Holloway of Delhi; nine sisters, Mrs. G. A. Souther of Winnsboro, Mrs. J. C. Donnell of Winnsboro, Mrs. Bluford Ezell of Delhi, Mrs. Woodrow Carter, Sterlington; Misses Erlene Holloway, Arlene Holloway, Mattie Joy Holloway, and Barbara Sue Holloway, all of Delhi. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Home for Funerals. Pallbearers were Alonzo Crooks, Cecil Wilkes, Cam Blankinship, Ed Smith, Ray Clark, Oren Herrin, Earl Clem, W. W. McDaniel.
