Humphries, 70, died suddenly Friday afternoon at his home in Grayson from an attack of acute indigestion. He was born in Arkansas a few years before the Civil War. His wife preceded him to the grave. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the family cemetery in Grayson with Rev. Alfred of Grayson officiating. Mr. Humphries was a member of the Methodist Church. Deceased is survived by four sons, Ed, Ernest, Rudolph, and Talmadge Humphries all of Caldwell Parish, one daughter, Ethel Humphries of Arkansas and one brother, James K. Polk Humphries of Jena.
