She was a 1969 graduate of LaSalle High School, a senior at the University of West Florida, and retired from the U.S. Government Civil Services, Eglin Air Force Base. She was also an active member of Southside Baptist Church in Crestview, Florida. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., November 21, at Antioch Cemetery in Eros, Louisiana, with Bro. Gordon "Skip" Dean, officiating. The services was under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Survivors include her husband, Robert T. Howell of Crestview, Florida; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Ragan of Clearfield, Utah; one son, Eric Baker Howell of Gainesville, Florida; one brother, Clifford R. Duke of Grayson; three sisters, Mary Ann Freeman of Grayson, Dottie Gibson of Columbia, and Willie Jean Shields of West Monroe; and two grandchildren.
