Headline:  Area Deaths, Velma Corinne Hinton

Velma Corinne Hinton, 82, of Olla, died at 6:05 p.m., Friday, August 20, 
1999, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.

She was a homemaker and member of the Olla First Baptist Church.  She was 
born February 2, 1917, in Olla to the union of Thomas and Corinne Sills 
Smith. 

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 23, at Chickasaw 
Cemetery near Olla with Rev. Milton Wilson officiating.

Interment was under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Hinton of Sherman, Tx.; one sister, Pauline 
Moore of Olla; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Chad Key, Chuck Enders, Justin Key, Blake Sims, Lee 
Breithaupt and Ray Miller.
