Hailey, 58, of Creston, died Friday, January 21, 2000, at his residence. He was a farmer and member of the Goldonna Baptist Church. He was born August 6, 1941, at Nebo to the union of Lee Roy Hailey and Lena Hailey Thompson. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Doyle McGrew and Gary Norris officiating. Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery near Trout under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc., of Jena. Survivors include one son, David Hailey of Winnfield; his mother, Lena Hailey Thompson of Nebo; two sisters, Linda Recoulley of Otis and Ruth Conley of Campti; two brothers, Raymond T. Hailey of Arlington, Texas, and Mark L. Hailey of Natchitoches; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bobby Wilson, Heath Conley, Paul Whatley, Gary Whatley, Corey Conley, and Charles Carpenters.
