Harper, Acme, La., Dies January 12; Services Held Thursday The many friends of Mary F. Harper who live in this community will be sorry to know that she died yesterday, (Wednesday, Jan. 12, 1944) at her home in Acme, La. The deceased has been a resident of Acme for 53 years and was 83 years old at the time of death. Funeral services will be held at the family resident in Acme today (Thursday). Surviving are six sons, F. R., U. S. Coast Guard, W. J., U. G., S. E., J. V. and C. W., all of Acme; four daughters, Mrs. C. M. Dale, Mrs. Hobart Morace, Mrs. Jack Holland and Mrs. C. M. Lee all of New Era; one brother, Floyd Belgrade; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Wiley of Pineville and Maggie Tarver. Hixson Brothers Funeral Home had charge of burial arrangements.
