Hawkins Fatally Injured in Auto Accident Funeral services for Perry Hawkins, 20 year old merchant of Rhinehart, who as fatally injured in an automobile accident December 5, were held December 7 at Rhinehart at 2 p.m. Deceased was the son of Mrs. Susie Hawkins of Rhinehart and was a member of the Rhinehart Baptist Church. He died at the Ferriday hospital where he was taken for treatment following the accident. Officiating at the funeral ceremony were: Rev. Burton A. Miley of Harrisonburg, Rev. M. T. Doughty of Tullos, Rev. Shadrack Brooks of Rhinehart, and Rev. J. J. Allbritton of Midway. Interment followed at the Rhinehart Cemetery under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Surviving are: Mrs. Susie Hawkins, mother, of Rhinehart; Wm. Martin Hawkins of Savannah, Ga., and Phillip Steel Hawkins of Rhinehart, brothers. Pallbearers were: L. E. Richardson, Bill Russell, Roy Richardson, Luther McMillin, J. B. Richardson, and Steel Alexander.
