Headline:  Mrs. Ezabella Heard, Aged 84 Years, Died at Home Last Week.

Mrs. Ezabella A. heard, aged 84, died at her home 2 miles east of Jena last 
Thursday, July 16, after an illness of eight weeks.  Old age was attributed 
as the cause of her death.

Funeral services were conducted Friday by Rev. L. H. Brooks of Oak Grove.  
Interment was in Forsythe Cemetery near Jena.

Mrs. Heard was preceded to the grave by her husband, the late James E. Heard, 
who died several years ago.  She is survived by an adopted son, Harvey 
Taylor, of Alexandria, and a number of nieces and nephews.  Deceased had been 
a member of the Baptist Church for 35 years.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the LaSalle Burial Association.
