He was a brother to Mrs. C. G. Phillips, of Jena. Mrs. Phillips, in company with her sons, Charlie and James, and her daughter, Miss Wilhelmina Phillips, left Jena early Wednesday morning to attend the funeral. They returned late Thursday afternoon. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with the pastor of the West Monroe Baptist Church conducting the funeral services.
