Headline:  Mrs. Callie Howard of Little Creek Dies

Mrs. Callie Hawthorne Howard, 69, of Little Creek, died Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. 
in a Jena Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Ebenezer Baptist Church 
of Little Creek with the Rev. S. B. Spinks, the Rev. John Lee Dayton and the 
Rev. James G. Ganey officiating.  Burial followed in Hawthorne Cemetery near 
Little Creek under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.

Survivors include her husband, Charlie Howard of Little Creek; one daughter, 
Mrs. Era Cockerham of Little Creek; one brother, Wayne P. Hawthorne of 
Ruston; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Stringer of Trout and Mrs. Tullis Davis of 
West Monroe; two grandchildren and two great grandsons.

Pallbearers were Lawson Stringer, Lavelle Hawthorne, Jeff Hudson, C. E. 
Franklin, Marvin Cockerham, and Doc Howard.
