K. P. Humphries, of Jena, passed away at his home in Grayson on Saturday morning. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock interment following in the Welcome Home Cemetery. Mr. Humphries had been a life long resident of Caldwell Parish and was one of the most prominent and highly respected citizens of that section. Those from Jena attending the funeral were James K. P. Humphries, Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Humphries, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. P. Noble, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ferguson, W. Y. Warner, Mesdames Rosa Wade and T. O. Watson and Miss Esta Mae Wade. Friends and relatives from every section of the state were present to pay their last respects to this good man.
