Humphries Dies Saturday; Final Rites Held Monday Mrs. Annie E. Humphries, 76, died at 8:35 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Baptist Hospital in Alexandria. She was a resident of the Pleasant Hill Community near Pollock for 28 years. Mrs. Humphries lived at Goodpine some 25 yeas before moving to Pollock. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James A. Humphries; six sons, S. O. Humphries of Port Arthur, Texas, T. A. Humphries of Bainbridge, Ga.; J. B. Humphries of Pollock, Lewis Humphries of Jena, J. J. Humphries of Dallas, Texas, and R. D. Humphries of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mary Flukinger of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Ola Payne of Fort Smith, Ark.; six brothers, two sisters, 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Officiating ministers were the Rev. O. C. Clark and the Rev. Russell Neal. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom Tolar, Lloyd Fletcher, C. R. Langston, Irvin Roberts, H. J. Maxwell and John Hyde, all from Pollock. NOTE: Age might be 78.
