She was a lifelong resident of Caldwell Parish, was a member of the Clarks Baptist Church and Caldwell Council on Aging. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 40 years. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with the Revs. Fred Foster and Norwood Horn officiating. Burial followed in Harris Chapel Cemetery near Olla under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia. Survivors include three brothers, Troy McDaniel of Kelly, Aussie McDaniel of Olla and Hugh McDaniel of Shreveport; four sisters, Ethel Neal of Jena, Nancy Biggs and Gladys Davis, both of Kelly and Mrs. Bill Curry of west Monroe; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were LeRoy Coates, Garland Coates, Ray Pace, Aussie Coates and Clyde Biggs. Honorary pallbearers were David Hall, Johnny Quaid, Alvin Shipp, Wayne Biggs, Cloyd McDaniel and Stanley Hayes.
