F. Jones, postmaster at Good pine, which occurred at the family home there Wednesday night of last week. Mr. Jones had been in ill health for several days, but his sudden passing was a great shock to his many friends at Good Pine, Jena, and throughout the parish, where he was well known and very highly respected. Funeral services were conducted Friday morning by Rev. E. J. Phares, pastor of the Good Pine Baptist Church, assisted by rev. J. J. Rasmussen, pastor of Trout-Good Pine Methodist Churches. Interment was in Belah cemetery, with the Masonic Lodge taking part in the ceremonies. Mr Jones is survived by his widow and three daughters, Misses Alice, Vera, and Mildren; his father and a number of other close relatives.
