Mrs. Ellen Deville Jones, 73, of Ferriday, sister of Mrs. Annie Floyd, Trout, died at Concordia Parish Hospital in Ferriday last Sunday, April 16, 1967. Mrs. Jones was the sister of Mrs. Annie Floyd, Trout. She died at 6:25 pm. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Fairbanks Cemetery, Manifest, with the Rev Clarence Wiley of Jonesville officiating. Burial was under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Joseph Sidney Jones of Ferriday; five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Crum of Ferriday, Mrs. Effie J. Meredith of Shreveport, Mrs. Gladys J. Coker of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Laurina J. Purdion of Bunkie, and Mrs. Lettie J. Ducan of Ferriday; one son, Sidney Jones of Alexandria, one sister, Mrs. Floyd; three brothers, Milton Deville of Harrisonburg, Joe Deville of Harrisonburg, and John Deville of Summerville; 35 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Vernon Ray Crum, Kenneth Earl Crum, R. B. Farr, Jimmie Crum, S. J. Deville, and Sam Deville.
