Despite all the loving care and medical skill possible to secure, her ailment grew worse until sometime ago her condition was pronounced as incurable and death was looked for daily. Mrs. Jones moved to Jena about two years ago from Jonesville, where she had spent practically her entire life. She is survived by her husband, Len W. Jones; three daughters, Lillian, Thelma Ray and Olivia Marvin and one son, Wyman Lloyd. Interment was held in the Jonesville Cemetery Friday at 12 o'clock. IN MEMORIUM (Aug 25, 1927 on another page) Mrs. Lena Jones, wife of Len W. Jones, of this place, died at the hospital in Pineville, August 17, 1927. She was 35 years old. While the night winds were whispering softly and the lamps were burning brightly in the vaults of heaven, the curtains of Paradise were drawn back and the voice of God said, "Thy dream of life is over, lay down thy cross, receive the crown." And amid the harpings of angels, she passed through the golden portals in the vast forever. She suffered like a martyr, intense physical agony for five long months preceding her death; still hardly a groan issued from her lips. To her bereaved husband and children we would offer consolation, but there is one alone who can heal the wound. Therefore we must all bow in humble submission to the will of the Lord. The remains were laid to rest in the family cemetery at Jonesville, Friday at 12 o'clock. A Friend
