J. P. Owens, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jena, officiating. Interment was to be in the Hair Cemetery under the direction of the Kinner and Stevens Home for Funerals, Jena. Mrs. Jackson was born June 29, 1858, at Harrisonburg. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jena from 1914 to her death. Active in religious activities, she helped to establish the Lanius Chapel near Harrisonburg in the year 1900 and was a member there until she came to Jena and became affiliated with the First Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Jena for approximately 38 years. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hattie Ford, Mrs. Lydia Jane Barrett, and Mrs. Stella Jesclard, all of Jena; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
