Headline:  William J. Jernigan

William Jasper Jernigan, age 75 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. 
R. L. Doughty at Blade on Thursday, July 28.  Cause of death is attributed to 
high blood pressure.

Mr. Jernigan was born in Mississippi but came to this section in 1877 where 
he has resided practically ever since.  He was married to Miss Sarah Clark in 
1883, who preceded him in death.  Survivors are three children as follows:  
Mrs. J. L. Doughty, Rhinehart; Mrs. R. L. Doughty, Blade and W. R. Jernigan, 
Blade.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 29, with interment in Pine Grove 
Cemetery at Blade under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home.  
Rev. L. H. Brooks, Baptist minister, conducted the services.
