Jackson Buried on Saturday; Sick for Long Time Funeral services were conducted at the Hair Cemetery on Saturday for Andrew Marion Jackson, aged 80 years and 3 months. Rev. L. D. Posey, pastor of the Baptist Church in Jena, officiated at the services. Mr. Jackson had been in ill health for sometime and his death came on Friday morning. He had been a resident of LaSalle Parish for the pat 18 years, having previously resided at Harrisonburg. He was born in Tallahassee, Florida, on December 31, 1852. The deceased is survived by his wife, who was Miss Nancy Dorcas, before her marriage, and the following children: Mrs. B. E. Ford and Mrs. W. L. Barrett, Jena; Mrs. A. Jesclard, of San Antonio, Texas, and H. B. Jackson, of Buckeye, Louisiana. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Lanius Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and had been a member for the past thirty years.
