Jones held on Sunday, Oct. 12th Funeral services for William Walker Jones, 60 years, 8 months, and 11 days old, saw mill employee, who died at Urania of heart trouble October 11 at 9:45 p.m., were held October 12 with Rev. R. M. Doughty officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home, Jena. Deceased is a life long resident of LaSalle Parish, having been born in Summerville; he resided in Urania for the past 39 years. He was married in Harrisonburg January 17, 1901, to Miss Emma Cornwell, who besides the following relatives, survive: Willis, Aubrey, O. F. and Elva Jones of Urania, Marvin Jones of Olla, sons; Vera Lanier of Vivian, Leland Nugent of Urania, Estelle Salley of Norphlet, Ark., daughters. Mr. Jones was a member of the Baptist Church.
