It seems that Mrs. Jackson was doing the family wash at the bayou and in some manner the bank caved causing her to fall into the water where she drowned. It is reported that Mrs. Jackson's absence from the home caused her husband to become uneasy. Upon going to the bayou, he discovered that his wife had evidently fallen into the water and after dragging the stream with a pole the body was discovered. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Willie Jackson, and several brothers. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon with interment in White Stone Cemetery.
