Jackson 48 Succumbs Funeral services for Thomas Sanders Jackson, 48, carpenter and lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish, who died at his home in Trout April 10 at 2 p.m., were held April 11 at the Searcy Baptist Church at 2 p.m., with Rev. McDaniel and Rev. Shadrack Brooks officiating. Deceased was a Legionnaire and the American Legion took charge of the ceremonies. Interment followed at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Riser and Upshaw Funeral Home of Jena. Mr. Jackson was a resident of Trout and was a member of Searcy Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Cotton Jackson and two brothers, Martin and Allen Jackson of Trout and Olla. Pallbearers were G. O. Peyton, Joseph Coon, D. Floyd, Milton Swazey, Lee Walker, Howard Finley and A. D. Gough.
