He was a retired foreman for Louisiana Midland Railroad and member and deacon at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Services were held at 10 a.m. Sunday morning at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Revs. Albert Vickers, M. D. Moses and John Lee Dayton, officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Sinai Cemetery with arrangements by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Jones of Trout; two sons, Dee Jones of Jena and Larry Jones of Trout; a brother, Lonnie Jones of Trout; three sisters, Mrs. Janie Francis and Mrs. Wannie Mae LaCroix, both of Trout and Thelma Cockerham of Ruston; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Wayne McCartney, Glen McCartney, Tommy Francis, Joe Jones, Donald Robertson, and Douglas Robertson. Honorary pallbearers were Francis Goynes and Bubba Sherrill.
