All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Dec. 8, 1932, Thursday Services Held For Lester Kendrick on Sunday Afternoon A pall of sorrow was cast over the community over the sudden death of Master Lester Kendrick, age three, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardie Kendrick. Death occured Saturday evening, 6 o'clock December 3, which was thought to have been caused from congestion. Little Lester seemed apparently in good health earlier in the day and was only sick for several hours. Funeral services were held in Jena Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, with Rev. A.S.J. Neil, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in the Nolly Memorial cemetery. Surviving members of the family are his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Hardie Kendrieck, and brothers and sisters, Fred, Louie, Bill, Johnnie, Lloyd, H.C., Jr., Nell and Ethel. Sincere sympathy is extended the bereaved family.
