All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Date: December 26, 1956, Thursday Headline: Jena Woman's Father Buried in Winnfield Funeral services for Norman Millard Kinman, 65, who had been secretary for a firm in West Monroe for some 16 years, were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Winnfield First Baptist Church. Mr. Kinman, father of Mrs. Betty Thompson of Jena, died in a Monroe hospital Wednesday several hours after a heart attack. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Winnfield. Due to his employment, he and Mrs. Kinman maintained residences both in West Monroe and in Winnfield. The Rev. W. L. Holcomb conducted the final rites, with interment following in Cook Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. In addition to his daughter in Jena, Mr. Kinman is survived by his wife and three sisters, Miss Hester Kinman and Mrs. Claude Copeland, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. H. C. LaCour of Lafayette.
