The Revs. S. B. Spinks, Charles Woods and W. O. Lynch conducted the final rites with interment following in the Belah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Jena. Mrs. Knapp, one of LaSalle Parish's oldest and most beloved citizens and matriarch of a large family, is survived by six daughters, Mrs. J. R. Heard of Shreveport, Mrs. J. T. Breland of Baton Rouge, Mrs. L. G. Burnum of Jena, Mrs. A. A. Jones of Trout, Mrs. P. J. Taylor of Trout, and Mrs. J. W. Breland of Shreveport; four sons, P. V. Dykes of Shreveport, L. T. Knapp of Jena, R. H. Knapp of Marshall, Texas, and J. A. Knapp of Trout; one brother, E. Meek of Monroe; three sisters, Mrs. John McKay of Pollock, Mrs. Mae Spangler of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. J. D. Moore of Jefferson City, Mo.; 25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were J. W. Curtis, Jimmy Breland, Adrian Heard, Larry Heard, P. V. Dykes, and Lester Taylor, all grandsons of the deceased.
