Lofton, 64, well know resident of Ferriday, who died on Friday, May 19, 1967, in the Concordia Parish Hospital, were held at two o'clock on Sunday afternoon May 21, 1967, in Ferriday. Bill Johnson conducted the services. Burial was in the Big Creek Cemetery near Pollock. He was a native of Grant Parish and had resided in Ferriday for the past twenty-four years. He was employed by the Louisiana State Dept. of Highways for 18 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Ferriday. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian Lofton, Ferriday; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby Nugent, Ferriday, Mrs. Billy Ruth Malcomb, Jena, La.; one grandchild and one step grandchild also survive.
