Mrs. LaCroix had been a lifelong resident of LaSalle Parish and had many friends throughout LaSalle and Catahoula Parishes who mourn her passing. Funeral services were held from the residence at 2 pm Sunday, March 27th, with the Rev. B. A. Miley, pastor of the Harrisonburg Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by the Rev. J. O. Fogleman. Pallbearers, all grandsons were: F. M., A. T., M. M., H. B., and H. H. LaCroix, J. E. and J. P. Slaughter and W. F. Moffett. Interment was made at the White Sulphur Springs Cemetery. The deceased is survived by the following: four daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Kitterlin, Mrs. J. G. Slaughter, and Mrs. J. A. Moffet, Pollock, La., three sons, S. P. LaCroix, Trout, La..; B. T. LaCroix, Harrisonburg, La.; and Wyatt LaCroix of White Sulphur Springs, La.; one brother, A. A. Whatley, White Sulphur Springs, La.
