Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church here on last Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Burt K. Lee, aged 39 years and five months, whose untimely demise occurred on Wednesday night at eleven o'clock at the family home in Alexandria. Interment followed in the Nolly Memorial Cemetery, with Rev. L. D. Posey, pastor of the Jena Baptist Church, and Rev. E. J. Phares, pastor of the Good Pine Baptist Church, officiating. The deceased, who had been in ill health for sometime, is survived by her husband, three children, Mrs. Lloyd Gilbeaux, Burt Lee, Jr., and Miss Geraldine Lee, of Alexandria; three sisters, Mrs. E. B. Cotton, Good Pine; Mrs. B. W. Thread, St. Louis, Mo.; Miss Jewel Albritton, of Alexandria; three brothers, Murphy Albritton, Good Pine; Bill Albritton, Jena; and Walter Albritton, Good Pine, and one grandson, Jerry Lee Gilbeaux, Alexandria. The Jena Times joins with the many friends in this community in extending sincere sympathy to the family of the bereaved.
