Lucas Held June 14 Services for Mr. William A. Lucas, 73, Summerville, were held June 14, 1944, at 10:30 a.m. Services were held in the Couly Church with Rev. Harry Foster officiating. Mr. Lucas died June 12, at the home of his sister after an illness of several months. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church. The deceased is survived by one son, George Millard, Texarkana; one sister, Mrs. V. Thomas, Summerville; three nieces, Mrs. Jessie Cockerham, Greenville, Texas; Mrs. Leta Couch, Summerville; Minnie Mae Thomas, Jena, and five stepchildren. Edmonds Funeral Home was in charge of services.
