LYTLE Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home Jena, LA Services for Nancy C. Lytle will be held at Kinner and Stevens Chapel at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2000 in Jena. Interment at Nolly Memorial Methodist Cemetery will follow. The Rev. David Barber of Northside Church of Christ in Lake Providence officiating. Nancy Clegg Lytle was born November 2, 1921 to the union of Barrett and Francis Thompson Buck. After her father died in 1927, her mother remarried John R Clegg of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Nancy took his last name. She graduated from Siloam Springs High School in 1938 and from Southern Methodist University in 1945-46. Nancy and Hilton Lytle of Jena married August 9, 1946 and shortly afterward moved to Texas where Hilton completed his Masters Degree at Texas A & M. They lived in several places College Station, Texas. Washington, D. C., Austin, Texas and then in Monroe for the past 38 years. Nancy was a very enthusiastic watercolor artist and home-. maker and was a Charter Member of The Monroe Art Association. She was devoted to her Mother while she lived in Monroe and to her husband of 54 years. Surviving Nancy is her husband Hilton, Brother-in-law, Loyd and Marilyn Lytle of Springhill, LA, Thomas and Niease Lytle of Jena, LA, and Sister-in-law, Jeri Lytle of Zachary, LA, nieces and nephews, Melissa Rutledge, Barbara Middleton, Ken Lytle, Terry Lytle, Edward Lytle, Virgil Osborn, Edward Osborn, and Phillip Osborn and many great nieces and nephews, special friend and adopted grandson Britton Currie, and many close and wonderful friends. Pallbearers will be Nancy's friends of East Jena Church. Visitation will be at the funeral Home on July 10, 2000 from 4 PM until 6 PM. The family requests that memorials be made to American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
